Education
In 1973, he graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electrical Machines and Apparatus.
In 1984, he defended his PhD (Candidate of Technical Sciences) dissertation entitled “Fundamentals of the Design of Low-Speed Linear Inductor-Type DC Motors.”
In 1998, he defended his Doctor of Technical Sciences dissertation entitled “Electromechanical Wind Energy Conversion Systems.”
Professional Experience
1973–1987 — Kyiv Polytechnic Institute; Assistant at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Head of the Research Sector for Electromechanical Energy Conversion Systems at the Shtorm Design Bureau.
1987–2004 — Institute of Electrodynamics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Head of the Wind Energy Laboratory and Leading Researcher of the Renewable Energy Sources Division.
Since 2004 — Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Head of the Hydropower Department, including service as Acting Head of the Hydropower Department.
Area of Expertise
Electric power engineering and electromechanics, renewable energy sources.
Publications
Author of 228 scientific publications, including 16 patents and 8 State Standards of Ukraine.
