Young Scientists Council of the Institute of Renewable Energy
The Young Scientists Council at the Institute of Renewable Energy, established under the Department of Energy and Energy Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, is a collegial advisory body that brings together the Institute’s young scientists. The Council was established to encourage the scientific, innovative, inventive, and other creative pursuits among young researchers, as well as to represent, protect, and advance their professional, intellectual, legal, and socio-economic rights and interests.
The Council operates on a voluntary basis and is guided by the principles of scientific ethics, freedom of scientific creativity, equality among all Council members, transparency and openness, voluntariness and collegiality, and democratic governance.
The Young Scientists Council at the Institute of Renewable Energy of the NAS of Ukraine coordinates its activities with the Bureau of the Department responsible for engaging young scientists.
Main Objectives of the Young Scientists Council
- to unite and organize the Institute’s young scientists to support successful research and the development of professional networks;
- to encourage individuals professionally engaged at the Institute to participate in scientific research;
- to cooperate with scientific, student, and other organizations in Ukraine and abroad;
- to collect and disseminate information on foundations and organizations providing grants to support scientific research;
- to facilitate timely access to information about scientific events;
- to encourage the implementation and application of research findings produced by young scientists and specialists;
- to assist in addressing the social issues of the Institute’s young scientists;
- • to promote the protection of the intellectual property rights of young scientists;
- • to exercise public oversight of compliance with young scientists’ rights;
- to carry out other activities consistent with the Council’s mission and not prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine;
- to represent the interests of young scientists and prepare proposals on specific aspects of their professional activities for the Bureau of the Department, research institutions of the NAS of Ukraine, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations;
- to organize scientific events involving young scientists, including scientific and scientific-practical conferences, workshops, symposia, round-table discussions, and other academic events.
