On August 12, 2024, the Director of the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Stepan Kudrya met with the Head of the Scientific and Research Center for Innovations in the Field of Environmental Protection “EcoUkraine” of the public scientific organization “Scientific Institution “Digital Agency “E-Ecology” » by candidate of sciences in public administration, associate professor Volodymyr Moroz.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy director of scientific work of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences Mykola Kuznetsov, the deputy director of scientific work of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleksiy Zuryan, candidate of technical sciences, researcher, head of the working group on cooperation with territorial communities of K.G. n. Andriy Tolkunov.
Stepan Oleksandrovych Kudrya spoke about the scientific research conducted by the Institute’s specialists in the direction of energy transition, the experience of cooperation with territorial communities and business regarding the design and implementation of renewable energy projects in Ukraine.
Volodymyr Vasyliovych Moroz informed about the activities of the specialized unit of the public scientific organization – Scientific Research Center for Innovations in Environmental Protection “EcoUkraine” www.rc.ecoukraine.org in the areas of digital transformation, digitalization, application of innovative technologies for environmental protection, rational use, reproduction and protection of natural resources, green restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Moroz also presented the results of the Center’s scientific and practical developments in the direction of the digital transition, namely: the geo-information communication web system “Interactive Register of Environmental Problems of Ukraine”, the mobile application for android smartphones “EcoinspectorUA”, the web system for managing environmental protection processes for of the socially responsible business myECO and shared plans for the implementation of the project “Digital system of effective solutions “Comfortable community” with regional subsystems for OTG”.
Andriy Tolkunov provided information about proposals prepared by the Institute’s team for territorial communities and local businesses in the field of renewable energy development, the need to intensify cooperation of all interested parties in the Community-State-Business-Science quadrangle in order to establish effective cooperation on the way to increasing the level of energy security.
During the meeting, issues related to the possibilities of cooperation between the Institute and the Center in the formation of modern strategies for the development of renewable energy, green and digital transformation in Ukraine were discussed.
The question of the possibility of joint participation in the creation and support of the activities of an extensive network of local project offices for the digital transformation of environmental protection and renewable energy (Environmental protection & renewable energy digital transformation office – EREDTO) was separately considered in communities, with the aim of providing assistance and expert support for the digitalization of environmental protection environment and the development of renewable energy at the local level and the implementation of projects and measures in the areas of environmental protection, public eco-control, assessment of the potential of renewable energy sources, interdepartmental cooperation, automation of management and other processes in the activities of local self-government bodies.
Given the significant potential and prospects for expanding cooperation in the specified directions, the participants agreed to systematically hold similar working meetings with the aim of working out possible ways of cooperation and interaction in the implementation of projects and activities in the areas of digitalization of environmental protection and development of renewable energy.
