From 31 August to 4 September 2026, Dmytro Bondarenko, PhD, Senior Researcher at the Solar Energy Department of the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, participated in the international workshop “Inspection of PV Power Plants 2026”, organized by TÜV Rheinland Solar GmbH in Cologne, Germany.
The workshop combined theoretical training with practical sessions and focused on modern approaches to the design, operation, and inspection of photovoltaic systems. Particular attention was paid to current European standards in the field of photovoltaics, requirements for the quality and reliability of PV systems, as well as practical methods for assessing their technical condition and performance.
Participation of the Institute’s researchers in such international professional events is an important part of strengthening the scientific expertise of the IRE NAS of Ukraine and further integrating Ukrainian science into the European research and technology community. Direct exchange of experience with European experts provides an opportunity not only to learn about modern technological solutions but also to apply international best practices in the Institute’s own research activities.
The knowledge and practical experience gained during the workshop will be used in research on photovoltaic systems and power plants, in improving methods for assessing their efficiency and reliability, and in implementing modern approaches to quality assurance in the field of solar energy.
The Institute of Renewable Energy of the NAS of Ukraine consistently develops international scientific and technical cooperation and supports professional exchange and the continuous development of its researchers. Such cooperation contributes to strengthening the Institute’s scientific capacity and applying modern European experience to support the further development of renewable energy in Ukraine.
