Lhyfe has just started construction of its first production site in Germany. Capable of producing 4 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, it will be operational in the second half of 2024.

Lhyfe is plowing its furrow well beyond French borders. In Germany, the Nantes group has just started work on what it presents as the largest commercial green hydrogen production site in the country.

Industry and mobility

Located in Schwäbisch Gmünd, in the southwest of the country, this new production unit is part of HyFIVE (Hydrogen For Innovative Vehicles), a project supported with 6.4 million euros by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) . With an installed capacity of 10 MW, the installation will be able to produce up to 4 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, or around 1,000 tonnes per year.

The hydrogen produced there will be intended for the “H2-Aspen” industrial park but also for a hydrogen service station resulting from an agreement concluded between Lhyfe and the JET H2 joint venture.
