Public discussion of the work «Organic waste disposal complexes as an element of distributed generation in wartime»

On September 4, 2024, the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine held a public discussion of the work “Complexes for the utilization of organic waste as an element of distributed generation in wartime.”

At the extended meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the work of the team of authors was presented: Gennadiy Zhuk, Serhiy Krushnevich, Valery Verbovskyi, Yurii Ivanov, Stanislav Kubenko, Oleksandr Tashirev, Vira Govorukha, Dmytro Komissarenko “Complexes for the utilization of organic waste as an element of distributed generation in the military time” nominated for participation in the competition for the 2024 Borys Paton National Prize of Ukraine.

The Chairman of the Academic Council, Stepan Kudrya – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, informed that the Committee on State Awards of Ukraine in the Field of Science and Technology (National Award of Ukraine named after Boris Paton) instructed to hold a discussion of the presented work at on the basis of the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The Institute has the appropriate personnel potential for evaluating the presented work, the conclusions of which will then be made public at the Committee meeting. Specialists in the field of renewable energy also acted as experts.

Based on the results of public discussion and open voting, the Scientific Council of the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine ADOPTED the following decision:

1. Determine that the work “Complexes for the utilization of organic waste as an element of distributed generation in wartime” corresponds to the current level of scientific and technical knowledge, the trends of scientific and technical progress, is characterized by significant socio-economic and ecological results of implementation in the sector of ecology and energy stability of Ukraine.

2. The work “Complexes for the utilization of organic waste as an element of distributed generation in wartime” by the group of authors Gennady Zhuk, Serhiy Krushnevich, Valery Verbovskyi, Yuriy Ivanov, Stanislav Kubenko, Oleksandr Tashirev, Vira Govorukha, Dmytro Komissarenko deserves the award of the Boris Paton National Prize of Ukraine.
