UNIDO/GEF Project

Improving Energy Efficiency and Promoting Renewable Energy in Agrifood and Other Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) of Ukraine

Currently, the energy policy in developed countries is based on understanding the finiteness of conventional fuels and energy, the need to preserve the environment, and the need to prevent global climate change. Therefore, the global focus of policies is on energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy sources (RES).

Ukraine strives to take its rightful place among the world’s most developed economies. At the same time, our government’s priorities include sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas, developing small and medium-sized businesses, ensuring energy security, and increasing the competitiveness of our domestic products in world markets.
